Jamie handles the day-to-day bookkeeping work and client relationships at Muñoz Advisors.
She has always loved solving problems. In college, she studied mathematics and computer science and especially enjoyed the process of tracking down a stubborn bug or working through a problem until everything finally clicked. That same part of her brain is still very much at work today.
One of Jamie's favorite parts of bookkeeping is when something doesn't quite make sense. An account won't reconcile, a transaction looks out of place, or a number just feels off—and she gets to follow the trail until she finds the answer. There is something deeply satisfying about that final “ah-ha” moment when everything lines up.
Jamie is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, and her years in financial services shaped another important part of how she works: she believes people should actually understand their finances. She doesn't like jargon, unnecessary complexity, or the idea that clients should simply trust the expert without knowing what's going on. Her goal is to make the numbers clear, useful, and understandable.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with Brian and their son Calum, baking, reading, singing on her church worship team, and taking morning walks around St. Petersburg.
Brian serves in an advisory role at Muñoz Advisors and is Jamie's favorite person to bounce ideas off of.
One of Brian's greatest strengths is his ability to ask questions that get to the heart of an issue. Over the years, there have been countless times someone responds to him by saying, "Wow... that's a really good question."
He has a unique way of looking at the world and a natural curiosity that helps him see things from angles other people often miss. Whether he's thinking through a business challenge, a life decision, or a new idea, he has a knack for helping people step back and see the bigger picture.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, fitness, and tackling outdoor projects. He especially enjoys experiences that allow him to connect with different people, cultures, and perspectives.
Calum serves as our Chief Morale Officer and Director of Workplace Distractions.
His professional experience includes crawling at impressive speeds, inspecting electrical outlets, throwing food from high chairs, and testing the durability of household objects. His current interests include books, bananas, climbing anything he shouldn't climb, and keeping his parents on their toes.
While his bookkeeping skills are still developing, he has already mastered the art of making sure we maintain a healthy work-life balance.
